Do passions last forever?
Thanks to the enthusiasm for innovation, the passion for awnings of the Orioli family has been handing down
from generations, aiming at making Pratic become an important company in the awning industry, in Italy and abroad.
In the 60s, the Orioli brothers, Bruno and Giuseppe, began their business turning a horse shop into a tapestry
and curtain workshop. Some time later, in consequence of the growing and the new needs of the market,
they decided to deal exclusively in the production of sun awnings. During these years, since the realisation of the
first prototype of awning, Pratic has marked the history of the awning industry.
A long history of innovation: since the first original dome awning, arriving at the first awning tested into
the Wind Gallery. |
 1960 begins the production of the first awning with a wood loom
1965 Pratic patents its famous dome awning
1980 begins the mass production of arm awnings
1988 Pratic is the first company to use the aluminium extrusion for awning stanchions
1995 Pratic produces the first awning with an awning cassette box completely sealed and the first "Eguale arm",
the first arm to have stuck profiles.
1996 the first two awnings are certified for their wind resistance.
2001 standard certification according to the machinery directive 98/37 EC.
2002 Pratic continues to step up its awning production thanks to the Tecnic series, the ideal product to handle
the sun, the wind and the rain.
 2003 Pratic produces the interactive CD Pratic Tools, patents the Click System, the drip-catcher
system and the Safety Box motorisation system.
2004 Pratic patents the Flexcontrol system and inaugurates the Tecnic Light series and the Star lighting.
2005 Pratic is the first company to test its products in the Wind Gallery.
2006 Pratic adopts the EC Directives.
2007 Pratic designs and patents Windy, the new vertical closing system.
2008 New awning models with X1,X2,X3 wires and new TecnicStil and TecnicInfinity pergolas.
2009 New models:TecnicOne, Evo, Mito. Functional evolution and design for living outdoors.
