Pergolas Contract
Enhancing the functionality of the garden, still preserving the connection with the landscape and the authenticity of the historical location, this is the extraordinary result achieved by the farmhouse restaurant Casa Rossa ai Colli, thanks to the outdoor design by Pratic.
From a typical country house on the Friulian hills surrounding Ragogna (Udine), the owner Alessandra Negretto has obtained, in 2004, an inn of traditional and classy charm: seven bedrooms surrounded by lawns and olive trees, together with a restaurant just as unique for flavours and setting. The spaces previously used as stable and barn, have been renovated to create a farmhouse restaurant which enhances the products of the territory and its landscape, thanks to the spectacular view of the Friulian skyline. Not by chance, during summer season, dinners and events move to the outdoor park, to benefit from the beauty coming from the natural environment.
An outdoor space that is as evocative as it is unpredictable weather-wise, in need of a discrete and adjustable protection, as well as a perfectly flat flooring, where to arrange about 30 new outdoor covers.
The pergola Opera by Pratic, with its two modules placed side by side and wall-mounted, allowed the restaurant room to be projected towards the garden, thus creating a sheltered and surrounded place. The aluminium cover with adjustable blades from zero to 140 degrees guarantees shade and air recirculation as needed, thus helping to create the top thermal comfort, even in case of light rain, when blades get closed to protect the space below and making rainwater convey into the gutters integrated into the uprights. Moreover, on the three open sides, the Opera’s profiles are also equipped with Raso vertical awnings, for a better protection against sun and wind.
And exactly optional elements have a role that is not actually ancillary: thanks to a patented compensating system that intervenes on the slopes and unevenness typical of hilly land, Pratic Set platform offers a surface of about 66 square meters, perfect for the installation of the pergola.
The choice of the light wooden finish for the walking surface evokes the natural materials used for the furniture of the farmhouse restaurant, with the result of a pleasant transition between indoor and outdoor. A coherence also achieved thanks to the essential lines of the roofing, which reflect the simplicity of the farm housing, and to the auburn tones, in perfect style “Casa Rossa” (Red House).
The sole contrasting elements are the blades and the vertical drop awnings, in a pale shade making the pergola’s space bright and cosy. Moreover, at night, the outdoor room gains a new atmosphere, thanks to the Quadra Lights integrated into the blades which offer a soft and suffused light, under which having dinner overlooking the horizon.
