Practic and quality as a model of excellence to be pursued with consistency in order to offer the market pergolas and awnings with impeccable design and materials.
It is with this in mind that the company has obtained the QUALICOAT Seaside quality mark for the high-performance powder coating of the aluminum profiles that make up the structure of its products. This recognition certifies that the pre-treatment of the aluminum and the coating process comply with the most stringent international standards in terms of quality and process. It guarantees the highest level of paint adhesion to aluminum and maximum resistance to corrosion caused by atmospheric agents for architectural applications.
Pratic palette only uses QUALICOAT Class 2 approved powders, maintaining colour brillance (Gloss) for longer. The certificate bears the number 798 and refers to Seaside category, the pretreatment involving the use of specific chemical agents and the removal of 2 g/m2 of material –twice as much as standard procedures. This procedure significantly reduces the presence of residual polluants and prevents corrosion processes, for a higher guarantee in terms of paint’s resistance and longevity.
To obtain certification, painted materials undergo extremely rigorous mandatory checks and product stress tests, which measure the coating’s resistance to the most extreme conditions, such as adhesion in humid and saline environments, and the maintenance of mechanical characteristics after bending, impact, or deep drawing.

Even colour performance has been tested by the supplier. In this case, the QUALICOAT Class 2 approved powders are tested under the difficult weather conditions of Florida, the best place for testing colour brillance, resistance and structure. Here, materials are exposed to a subtropical climate, accelerating for about 300% the potential deterioration of the coated aluminium.
Aggressive climatic conditions characterize many of Pratic’s target markets, which is why the company has chosen to focus on excellence in materials and coating processes, dedicating almost the entire space of the building inaugurated in May 2017 to the painting department.
A zero-impact plant where no solvents or volatile organic compounds are used. Furthermore, 97% of the powders are recoverable, and the water and liquid waste from the treatment process are almost entirely regenerated and recovered through a state-of-the-art treatment plant.
“The refinement of the painting process is a central element of our production,” says Edi Orioli, Pratic CEO. “It is the completion of a project that consists not only in offering a product with a full and elegant aesthetic, but above all in the possibility of creating long-lasting outdoor environments for our customers, customizable in a refined range of 35 colors and with almost zero environmental impact, right from the moment of their creation.”
