Marcandole, cuisine and the land
Marcandole is the confidential name of a fish that, depending on the seasons, travels from the sea towards the Piave river. It is also the extraordinarily harmonious name of the renowned restaurant in Salgareda (Treviso), which from a small food shop opened in 1931 has become a happy haven for those who want to sit at a table that exudes well-being: starting with the haute cuisine dishes, of course. And that’s not all.

Between light, heat and design
In 2023, the restaurant underwent a powerful renovation, due to the desire of the current property – headed by Roberta Rorato – to renew the spaces with unprecedented light and warmth, enhancing the characteristics of the surrounding area.
Marcandole’s revolution in style and function bears the signature of Visual Display VD, and has also involved an in-depth outdoor design (the installation was carried out by the retailer Le Tende Tecnic) with two iconic Pratic products. The old terrace has been designed from scratch to become a place of elegant hospitality in every season, and has found the ideal synthesis in the Opera bioclimatic pergola. The design of the external front of the restaurant – completely revisited with materials, colours and lighting – instead enjoys the protection of the T-Code arm awnings.
Opera: outdoor becomes an experience
At the Marcandole restaurant, the bioclimatic Opera expresses above all versatility and innovation through three modules placed side by side and leaning against the wall, for a total surface that reaches 11.8 metres. For total or partial sun protection, the Raso vertical awnings have been installed, a functional solution that disappears along the horizontal profile of the pergola, only 23 centimetres high.
Climatic comfort is undoubtedly one of Opera’s prerogatives: thanks to the blades that rotate up to 140 degrees, you can benefit from natural air recirculation and brightness regulation: the feeling of well-being you feel under the pergola is unparalleled. The special automated weather sensors protect the space and guests in the event of wind and light rainfall, optimising the energy performance of the building. For evening use and in any case in low light conditions, the bioclimatic Opera has been equipped with Spot Light, the dimmable white LED spotlights integrated into the blades. The entirely aluminium structure was subsequently enriched by the Slide Glass 60 sliding panoramic windows with Clear Glass finish, which offer protection (including acoustics), brightness and maximum visibility to the outside.
The balance of aesthetic choices is perfect: the dove-grey colour of the pergola matches the natural shades present throughout the indoor and outdoor project, and with the unmistakable river vegetation composed of perennials, flowering shrubs and scented plants.

T-Code: the detail that welcomes
The external entrance of the restaurant underlines a further sign of attention for the customer with the presence of two extendable T-Code awnings, equipped with an automated sheet tensioning system. Installed on the wall, T-Code represents a precise choice to welcome the guest upon arrival and protects them, also offering an area underneath perfectly illuminated by dimmable white light LEDs. Structure and front are rationalised in a single box with a “dark chocolate” shade, chosen from the exclusive Pratic palette, while for the Soltis fabric we opted for a bronze shade.
