Wall-mounted pergolas

The wall-mounted pergolas offer the possibility to broaden the architecture of private houses or shops generating a new open-air space enjoyable all year long. With wall-mounted pergolas you can also choose between two covering options:

• wall-mounted pergolas made of aluminum with retractable cloth;
• wall-mounted pergolas with adjustable, retractable or stackable blades.

Whichever solution you prefer, the handling of the covering is always automated. The control options range from the remote control to the app and voice commands, and automations with weather sensors are also available, to optimize performance and safety in any climate condition.

The wall-mounted aluminum pergolas with cloth made of PVC are structures with an essential design completed by an efficient motorized packing PVC covering: during the summer, it stops the heat and screens the UV-rays guaranteeing a perfectly shaded and cool space, while in the winter or in case of bad weather, it protects the underlying space. The rainwater’s flow is perfectly managed on every Pratic wall-mounted pergola through drainpipes integrated in the structure: when it rains, the cloth’s incline makes the water flow into the gutters and then it makes it come out from the openings at the base of the structure. The cloth in PVC opens and closes packing itself down through a remote control or a special application designed for the home automation. The sensors regulate the opening and the closing depending on the sun intensity and the wind speed.

The wall-mounted pergolas with blades use the bioclimatic technology, which regulates the climate in a very natural way through adjustable, retractable or stackable blades: when open, they create a pleasant natural ventilation; when closed, they shelter from the sun and from light rainfall. The most common material types to build a wall-mounted pergola are wood or aluminum. • Cristal: this is not a real fabric but a PVC film that is waterproof, UV and fire-resistant and completely transparent;

• Soltis fabrics: made of PVC coated polyester, extremely resistant, it rejects up to 95% of solar heat thus limiting the use of air conditioning. The glass walls of Glass Series combine a panoramic view, brightness and protection. They protect the pergola from rain, wind, noise and dust thanks to the 10 or 12 mm thickness security panels made of tempered glass. The width, the depth and the height of a wall-mounted pergola change according to the context it is placed in. The standard formats available on the market offer a first orientation, but they rarely provide a flawless fit with the building. The proportions therefore stem directly from the installation context and, on some models, a single module can cover up to 13 x 9 metres: one structure alone is thus enough to shelter an outdoor lounge or a large dining area. Being light structures, with a removable covering and without fixed side closures, the installation of wall-mounted pergolas does not entail any increase in volume and, usually, does not require building permits. The picture changes when the structure is permanently closed on the sides with glass walls or other fixed elements: in this case it takes on a different planning status and may require specific permits. Another aspect to be assessed carefully is the position with respect to the property boundary: the minimum distances from neighbours depend on the local building regulations and on civil law provisions.
