T-Hide at the hotel Europa Palace Sanremo: outdoor comfort in contemporary style

A new lexicon for the authored hospitality
In the heart of Sanremo, the Hotel Europa Palace rewrites the concept of luxury after an entire renovation which, between 2019 and 2025, has transformed the nineteenth-century building into a refined five stars destination. Signed by the study Calvi Ceschia Viganò, the intervention was capable of re-reading the hotel’s historic identity into a contemporary light, introducing a new light and essential architectural language. The project’s jewel in the crown is the rooftop overlooking the sea, which hosts today a cocktail bar, a lounge area and a restaurant open also to the external public: a new hospitality experience with an informal style and the outdoor comfort signed Pratic.
From solar floor to panoramic rooftop
On the sixth and last floor, the wide solar patio has been brilliantly reconverted into a panoramic space, though to offer – for the first time- to the guests the possibility to spend time in the open air, with a unique view all-around the city.
With its generous surface it is structured into two distinct spaces, but complementary. The covered area, defined by a fixed structure in aluminum with a packed glass wall, it hosts a refined lounge with couches, rocking armchairs and a room for suppers and private receptions. Alongside, an open-air area, where the minimal style furniture meets the botanical essences buried into the pavement, voluntarily interrupts the ambience material pureness.
Here, the two Pratic T-Hide extendable arm awnings create a pleasant transition between the locations, guaranteeing the maximal comfort during the sunniest days, and hence allowing one to fully enjoy the view and the marine breeze.
Shading without compromise the aesthetic balance
Designed and installed with precision by our reseller Domus Point of Sanremo, the two shields enlarge the external area shadowing, through a structure with motorized arms and a retractable ruffle. Made in two different dimensions (6,30 and 5,50 x 4 meters), they integrate perfectly into the outdoor architecture, evoking the colour too. The structure and the aluminium box which hides the technical elements and which protects the rewound awnings they are made in a warm colour RAL 7044, equal to the one for the load-bearing structure. A shading obtained inside the Pratic low impact coating facility, through the use of QUALICOAT Class 2 homologised paintings, by the exceptional resistance to humidity, salt and UV rays.
Comfort as new luxury
The T-Hide awnings are equipped with LED illumination integrated both on the box and on the front profile, for a double light source that enhances the environment during the late hours. The functional detail that contributes to the rooftop’s atmosphere, making it perfect for events, happy hours and relax moment even after the sunset.
After a few months from the opening, as a matter of fact, the Europa Palace’s scenography dehors has affirmed itself as a point of reference for the Sanremo’s leisure. A space that marks a stylistic break with the city’s traditional hospitality, dominated by classic and retro atmospheres, in favour of a fresh and elegant language, where the luxe coincides with the simplicity of being well and fell yourself at home.
