Bring the usual activities of a young family by the pool, move outdoors the heart of the house, enjoy the benefits of natural light, outdoor life and the beauty of the Emilian countryside. These are the objectives obtained by the landscape architecture studio and construction company Frassinago with the installation of two Opera bioclimatic pergolas.
It takes place in San Giovanni in Persiceto, in the province of Bologna, in the vast park of an old farmhouse, recently renovated maintaining the typical bucolic style, where a building has been created ex novo to support the swimming pool, with changing rooms, showers and toilets.
An intervention that has stimulated the client’s desire to further exploit the large outdoor spaces. So the first Opera pergola comes into play, a self-supporting structure of 23 square metres that, installed next to the pool house, completes the latter by hosting a refined and spacious dining area.
Natural integration of the dining area is the cooking area: an additional bioclimatic pergola, also adjacent to the dressing room and measuring 7 square metres, under which there is a real kitchen.
To shelter from the wind often present in these countryside areas, the two structures are equipped with Raso vertical blinds which, once opened, are completely invisible, as they are contained in Opera’s horizontal profiles of only 22 centimetres in height.
Creating perfect thermal comfort under the pergola, on the other hand, is the task of Opera’s special aluminium blades that can rotate by 140 degrees, allowing optimal air circulation, as well as modulation of light intensity. When it rains, on the other hand, the blades close completely for almost total shelter, while rainwater is conveyed by perimeter and rain gutters integrated in the structure.
So, thanks to Opera pergolas, it has been possible to interpret the outdoor spaces on a par with those outside, creating a real space to live in the open air all year round, in total well-being.
Always at the forefront of technology and functionality, thanks to the essentiality of its structure, the Opera pergola fits discreetly into any public or private context.
The colour chosen for the painting of these structures is RAL 9007 grey, perfectly coordinated with the colour of the windows and woodwork of the farmhouse. A neutral and refined shade, which together with the luxuriant jasmine that completely covers the dressing room, makes the installation blend discreetly and elegantly into the natural context.
